The Merida Ninety Six 5000 MTB has been built by Merida staff. The frame and fork are made of carbon, which makes them lightweight. Thanks to the Shimano XT M8100 Shadow+ 1×12 speed transmission and the 29″ Merida Expert CW disc brake wheels, the bike provides excellent performance during sport. The Rock Shox Reba RL fork and Rock SIDLuxe Ultimate shock offer safety and control so you can get the most out of your mountain trails. The geometry is designed to suit both male and female morphology. It combines a sophisticated structure in the tubes that adds efficiency, as well as a plus of aerodynamics thanks to the profiles that adapt.
The Merida Ninety Six 5000 MTB bike is a bike that adapts to the XC mode, marathon or stage races are becoming more and more demanding, with very technical descents and slopes more typical of an Alpine jump, impossible trails, rock gardens, very broken paths and explosive climbs that have clearly redefined the rules of the game for this type of event and for the bikes that participate in them. This bike guarantees you to be able to carry out all your competitions with the maximum guarantees. Downhill capability has been improved due to updated geometry and a more progressive suspension setting. Therefore, the range of use is even greater than with the last generation. It can be used both as a long distance endurance bike, where two water bottles are always a great advantage, as a super light trail bike or as a classic cross country racing bike.
Instead of a classic bearing, the material properties of the frame allow sufficient deflection without affecting durability. To improve the control of the bike they have used the Twistlock hand to integrate the shock lock and allow the preferred mounting for the telescopic seat post. This makes its use very intuitive and easy to adapt to the terrain. A simple twist of the wrist locks the shock absorber and a button releases it quickly and effectively. Use a screw-type bottom bracket to facilitate maintenance of the bike and eliminate possible noise and discomfort when enjoying the bike.
