The Bont Zero + shoes are designed for cyclists who want to shave seconds off the stopwatch with every pedal stroke. With an improved anatomical last for increased power transfer and support, a full unidirectional carbon sole and a dimpled Durolite upper for improved aerodynamics, the Bont Zero+ is lightweight and lightning fast. Durable Durolite material in the upper allows for a great fit and a comfortable, ventilated pedaling experience. A proprietary Bont material has been added between the outer leather and the lining to prevent the cycling shoe from widening over time and use. They feature details specifically designed to protect the feet, such as longitudinal arch support, anatomical heel cushions and TPU toe reinforcements. The BOA IP-1 fastener offers fast, high-level adjustment in a matter of seconds.

Technology:
– Durolite
The strength-to-weight ratio has always played an important role in the design of Bont cycling shoes, as all materials considered and developed for products in the Bont range must meet strict standards. Durolite has been developed and chosen for the Helix upper because of its extremely durable nature and light weight.
– Unidirectional carbon sole
The Helix continues with its unidirectional monocoque sole in a matte finish and is updated with an improved grid to aid cleat fit. Bont carbon fiber comes exclusively from the Japanese manufacturer Toray. The base of the Helix is handmade using unidirectional carbon fiber that is embedded with thermosetting Epoxy resin. The fibers are placed by hand in the matrix according to the stress they will have to withstand. The Helix uses unidirectional carbon fiber, allowing Bont to create a high-performance cycling shoe with very specific strength characteristics based on the stress points of cycling. Because unidirectional carbon absorbs less resin than cross-weave fibers, it also helps reduce the weight of cycling shoes.
– BOA IP-1
The new BOA IP-1 winder has a triple functionality: to close the right shoe, the rotor must be turned clockwise and to open it, it must be turned counter-clockwise. The opposite is true for the left shoe. Lift up the reel to fully open the shoe. The new BOA IP1 reel is hexagonal, which along with the rubber finish, provides a more effective grip and an optimum fit.
